Fall CDTA Application Live NOW

The Fall Criminal Defense Training Academy is now open for registration. The training will take place from Sept. 11-12 and Oct. 8-10 in Ellensburg at Central Washington University. CDTA gives newer attorneys the opportunity to develop their trial advocacy and client communication skills, empowering them to become excellent advocates. CDTA also provides an expedited path to felony certification, as attendance can substitute for one of the required trials needed for felony certification. Applications received before August 15 receive first priority. CLICK HERE TO APPLY

Challenging Discriminatory Outcomes with Data: Bond Hearings

In making bond determinations, judges often emphasize criminal history as a factor to keep our clients in custody. However, data shows that BIPOC individuals are charged, convicted, and sentenced at disproportionate rates. Please join the OPD Disproportionality Unit and American Equity & Justice Group for a webinar on using data from the AEJG Equity Dashboard to litigate bond hearings. This online training will be presented by Anthony Powers and Lei Young. 1.0 Law and Legal credit to be requested.
