The 2025-27 Biennium began July 1, 2025 and ends June 30, 2027. The biennial budget is deliberated during the 2025 legislative session. Supplemental budgets will be considered in both the 2026 legislative session (2026 Supplemental Budget) and the 2027 legislative session (2027 Supplemental Budget).
Maintenance level requests reflect the cost of mandatory caseload, enrollment, inflation, and other legally unavoidable costs not contemplated in the current budget.
Policy level requests represent revised strategies or substantial differences in program direction and can include proposed program reductions.
Maintenance and Policy requests may be positive or negative adjustments to an agency’s budget.
